"If it wasn’t for feminism, you wouldn’t be able to work outside the home"

except that in 1960, close to 40% of women were already working. This was before Second Wave Feminism started.

Study: The Paradox of Declining Female Happiness

A 2009 study showed that women’s happiness has been on the decline over the last 35 years, which coincides with the era of feminism:

By many objective measures the lives of women in the United States have improved over the past 35 years, yet we show that measures of subjective well-being indicate that women’s happiness has declined both absolutely and relative to men.

The paradox of women’s declining relative well-being is found across various datasets, measures of subjective well-being, and is pervasive across demographic groups and industrialized countries. Relative declines in female happiness have eroded a gender gap in happiness in which women in the 1970s typically reported higher subjective well-being than did men. These declines have continued and a new gender gap is emerging — one with higher subjective well-being for men.

Patriarchy and "Hyper-Sexualization"

There’s a guy on here who made a really good point (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name).

He said that feminists always claim that Patriarchy is behind hyper-sexualization in modern culture.

But, if that were so, then why wasn’t there extreme hyper-sexualization in newspapers and in public about…
